Snes9x TestBuild 20110910 is released. Snes9x is a portable, freeware Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) emulator. It basically allows you to play most games designed for the SNES and Super Famicom Nintendo game systems on your PC or Workstation; which includes some real gems that were only ever released in Japan.
Snes9x is the result of well over three years worth of part-time hacking, coding, recoding, debugging, divorce, etc. (just kidding about the divorce bit). Snes9x is coded in C++, with three assembler CPU emulation cores on the i386 Linux and Windows ports.

ReplyDeletewow this is awesome. Its faster than bsnes and sounds awesome. the only difference between this and bsnes is the smoothing option on ntsc which shows no scan lines. anyone who says this is not a great emulator doesnt know what they are talking about. i wish this option could be added. it just looks better with ntsc and no scanlines.
ReplyDeletePerfect. Now I can play Top Gear 3000 without any sound glitches and the stupid AI bug that zsnes 1.51 and the official snes9x 1.53 have.
