higan v106r130 is released. higan (formerly bsnes) is a Nintendo multi-system emulator that began development on 2004-10-14. It currently supports the following systems:
- Famicom
- Super Famicom
- Game Boy
- Game Boy Color
- Game Boy Advance

higan also supports the following subsystems:
- Super Game Boy
- BS-X Satellaview
- Sufami Turbo

I completed the initial emulation of the Famicom Disk System. Reading and
writing to disks work, plus the FM synthesis audio channel is now supported.
It's going to be far from perfect, but ... it mostly works.

A horrifying amount of additional work will be needed on the GUI to be able to
handle save states for FDS games cleanly.
