higan Changelog:
* Update to v106r123 release.
byuu says:
massively improved NGP timing emulation. Turns out I was running the CPU about
twice as fast as I was supposed to (Mednafen runs it about 2.5x too fast, MAME
can't run the bus timing test ROM for some reason, acts like there's no game
when loaded.) The actual cycle counts and specifics of the prefetch emulation
are still going to be extremely wrong, but ... it's already enough to run the
first minute of Nymp perfectly. Then the audio distorts for about 20 seconds,
and recovers for 40 seconds. Then it loops. So ... I have not had any luck
finding what's wrong here yet =( Neither Mednafen nor MAME have this distortion,
so it's obviously a CPU bug, but nothing at all jumps out at me in the trace
log. Comparing to the nymp source code, it's something to do with channel B /
phase B getting calculated incorrectly... in any case, I also emulated the LDAR
instruction, that one was well hidden, heh. I fixed several disassembler issues,
and another issue with writing to the upper word of XSP.
