OpenMSX Git (2017/06/18) is complie. OpenMSX is an open source MSX emulator which is free according to the Debian Free Software Guidelines, available under the GNU General Public License. For copyright reasons the emulator cannot be distributed with original BIOS ROM images. OpenMSX includes C-BIOS a minimal implementation of the MSX BIOS, allowing to play quite some games without the need to have an original MSX BIOS ROM image. You can also use your own BIOS ROM image if you please.
OpenMSX Git Changelog:
* Fix Windows build (I hope): add Paddle
* Added initial support for the 'paddle' MSX input device
This implementation is limited, but possibly already good enough:
- The only supported host input device is the mouse (horizontal axis).
- On the MSX side the paddle value is presented on pin 1 of the joystick port.
The MSX Red Book allows any of pins 1-6 to be used.
The only known (non-patched) game that uses this device is
goodmsx1/Break Out (1983) (Ascii) (J).rom
and that uses pin 1. For that game using the mouse as input works fine.
