OpenMSX Git (2016/04/11) is complie. OpenMSX is an open source MSX emulator which is free according to the Debian Free Software Guidelines, available under the GNU General Public License. For copyright reasons the emulator cannot be distributed with original BIOS ROM images. OpenMSX includes C-BIOS a minimal implementation of the MSX BIOS, allowing to play quite some games without the need to have an original MSX BIOS ROM image. You can also use your own BIOS ROM image if you please.
OpenMSX Git Changelog:
* Implemented support for CP/M ROM in SVI-707.
The SVI-707 extension now also needs the 4kB CP/M (boot) ROM to work properly.
To support this cleanly, I added an optional parameter to MSXFDC's constructor
where you can specify the rom ID to be used for the disk ROM. By default this
is still the empty string as it was before
Leonard Oliveira confirmed that the initial state of the cpmRomEnabled flipflop
is indeed such that the CP/M ROM is enabled, which thus also acts as a boot
ROM. He also confirmed that the reset signal will set it back to this initial
value. This behaviour is also part of this implementation.
* Added some simple generic RAM extensions.
Several manufacturers (e.g. Sony, Pioneer, Casio) had cartridges for sale with
plain RAM expansions. I'm adding these generic ones to be able to test with
these when software makes use of them or needs them.
