OpenMSX Git (2016/04/10) is complie. OpenMSX is an open source MSX emulator which is free according to the Debian Free Software Guidelines, available under the GNU General Public License. For copyright reasons the emulator cannot be distributed with original BIOS ROM images. OpenMSX includes C-BIOS a minimal implementation of the MSX BIOS, allowing to play quite some games without the need to have an original MSX BIOS ROM image. You can also use your own BIOS ROM image if you please.
OpenMSX Git Changelog:
* Several fixes for SVI-707, after testing with original disks.
1) After testing with MSX-DOS that came with the drive, it appeared that the
FDC registers are visible also in page 2. So now assuming they're visible in
all pages.
2) The ROM switch is also activated by reading these registers.
Besides that, we now print a message that the switching is not supported, when
it is activated.
In a next commit, I plan to support the switching, including the extra CP/M ROM.
* Fix memory bug in MSXMotherBoard::userNames
To trigger it, type in the openMSX console:
1) carta
2) carta
3) exit
Sometimes this triggers a crash/assert (depending on the build flavour). It's
easier to trigger when there's more time between step 1) and 2).
The problem was that the 'userNames' map used a 'string_ref' instead of a
'string' as key. In practice this bug is usually harmless because very often
the string really has a lifetime longer than the lifetime of the map. Not so in
the above scenario.
