QMC2 v0.62 is compiled. QMC2 is a good GUI for MAME & MESS. QMC2(M.A.M.E. Catalog / Launcher II) is the successor of one of the first XMAME/MESS GUI frontends available, QMamecat (derived from MAMECAT, which was text-only). QMC2 has been rebuilt from scratch as a Qt 4 project. Parts of the design and code were inspired by its predecessor. The new design was made as flexible as possible to minimize dependencies from frontend- and CLI-related MAME changes, which was a major deficiency of QMamecat. QMC2 uses a template-based MAME configuration scheme, which can easily be enhanced with additional command line options (defined in an XML template file).

* fix: ROMAlyzer / check-sum scanner: disable database path selection by the user while scanning
* fix: icons loaded through libarchive weren’t reloaded after clearing the icon cache
* fix: corrected the comparison of option values comprised of float-tuples or -triples (some HLSL options) with their default values
* fix: device configurator: nested slot options could visually overlap their treewidget’s viewport when initially loaded
* fix: system web-search: corrected search pattern / URL generation for systems containing ‘’ or ‘’ in their description or manufacturer name
* imp: updated minizip to a newer git revision (as of 19-FEB-2016)
* imp: reduced the loading animation’s speed which saves a few milliseconds
* imp: changed the banner message to include the build OS and machine architecture (instead of the language code)

* imp: cleaner separation of icon pre-caching and machine list loading
* imp: consolidated the log messages for loading favorites and play history
* imp: ROMAlyzer: changed the check-sum scanner’s ‘open/close log’ button to look like a regular tool-button
