OpenMSX Git (2016/02/24) is complie. OpenMSX is an open source MSX emulator which is free according to the Debian Free Software Guidelines, available under the GNU General Public License. For copyright reasons the emulator cannot be distributed with original BIOS ROM images. OpenMSX includes C-BIOS a minimal implementation of the MSX BIOS, allowing to play quite some games without the need to have an original MSX BIOS ROM image. You can also use your own BIOS ROM image if you please.
OpenMSX Git Changelog:
* Panasonic FS-A1FM also has T9769 (no subtype).
This means it will also have a 2-cycle VDP I/O delay.
* Separate 'fixed' VDP I/O delay from S1990 induced delay.
As the fixed VDP I/O delay originates from the T9769C, it seems better to let
that one also cause the delay (which was implemented in a previous patch) and
not have it also implemented in the VDPIODelay class, which actually mainly
manages the delay in R800 mode.
* More accurate Matsushita device and VDP I/O delay.
See #988, #989 and also a bit of #563 for all context.
In summary:
- implemented missing features of MSXMatsushita device (#988):
- has a bit that indicates turbo status
- has a bit that tells whether turbo feature is available
- added the MSXMatsushita device to Sanyo MSX2+ machines (#988):
- they do not have the SRAM, so that is made optional
- they do not have the turbo, so that is now configurable
- moved the fixed (independent of turbo) VDP I/O delay from MSXMatsushita to
the VDP. The delay originates in the T9769 engine, so added a device tag that
indicates whether this engine (and which subtype) is present. (#989)
- exact delay depends on the subtype of the T9769: type C gives 1 cycle delay,
but other types give 2 cycles. So added the (most commonly used) subtype used
in the machine configs. (#989)
- removed warning about deprecated devices in HardwareConfig. Let DeviceFactory
handle that (in fact, it already did).
* Document difference with ML-F120D.
