DeSmuME X432R (2015/01/18) Changelog:
DeSmuME X432R 2015-01-18-0 Created based on the official SVN r5082 High resolution 3D rendering (experimental) Part of the process I was parallelized by PPL. Add 3D Settings window → Low-Quality Anti-Alias This is a function to draw by lowering the quality of the Anti-Alias. Please try to use if the execution speed drops in Anti-Alias ON. Add 3D Settings window → Low-Quality Alpha-Blend Lower the image quality of alpha blending to reduce the CPU load at the time of 3D / 2D layer drawing. Remove Config menu → Display Method → OpenGL / Filter Since the execution speed in combination with high resolution OpenGL renderer may be lowered. Other The CPU load, such as Memory viewer window I was able to be reduced. It is enabled in the case of the Config menu → CPU Power Saving ON. |

Awful decision to remove features. Now 2D games running in software mode can't be filtered.
ReplyDeleteI was really excited about this emu at first. but the filters never worked with high resolution mode, and I always wish they had. why is this so hard? ppsspp allows high res + filters easily. now that they have been removed completely I have given up on this emu, and I am totally disinterested. I bet we'll see high resolution rendering in the real desmume + filters before it ever happens with this one. instead of reducing quality and removing features development should work on making things actually work. how hard is it to run 50 polygons on modern CPUs @ 1080p? it's freakin DS... this emu needs to work on it's speed. "high res" x4 1024x1024 hardly qualifies as high res. the base standard is 1080p and some even say that's obsolete with the new 1440p displays. also this mode slows WAY down and I have 8 3.1GHz cores 16gb ram and 12149mb video memory... it's too slow.
