VisualBoyAdvance Lenny (2012/07/07) is released. VisualBoyAdvance Lenny is a fork of VisualBoyAdvance-1.7.2 with new timing, video and audio pipelines for improved performance.
Some features:
- The algorithm for synchronization of the main loop comes from the SDL documentation. The author notes that this is THE correct way to implement the loop of time in environments of PC games. The auto skip frame is part of the synchronization mechanism and can not be disabled.
- The video pipeline uses a double filtration and then converts and sends the frame to the system hardware YUY2 overlay to display full screen without changing the desktop resolution. A nice side effect is that the display is automatically synchronized to the V-blank.
- The filling level of the audio buffer is controlled and the synchronization of the main loop is constantly adjusted.
limitations:
- A material that supports YUY2 overlays is required.
- No filter qu'advmame2x other video are supported.
