Micro64 v1.00.2012.07.02 Build 704 is released. Micro64 is a freeware commodore c64 emulator. Currently micro64 has two different VIC II emulation modes: cycle exact (default, works fine) and half-cycle exact (next-gen, rudimentary implementation – currently damn slow).
Micro64 v1.00.2012.07.02 Build 704 Changelog:

Loving the progress, especially the effects for that old-style look.
ReplyDeleteBut please implement a joystick configuration menu because, although it scans for a default SDL (is that right ?) joystick, it will always use the joysticks default axis. So,if you have a Xbox360/PS2/3 joystick then the default axis is always the analog thumbsticks - not good on a C64 emulator meant for digital controls.
Lastly, this is just a idea, but what would the chances be of using a PNG TV overlay with a curved glass screen and a baked-in reflection ? PNG use because of alpha channel.
Anyway, keep up the excellent work. Tried the Vicious Sid demo and it worked the best of all emulators. Great work.
Please include Hardsid support.
ReplyDeleteMIcro64 author here. Hardsid is already supported but only the internal ISA/PCI card variants of it and for 32-bit windows and linux systems.
