    1. maybe you should tweak the graphic properties to its lowest settings thats the best way to make them run they look the same as usual anyway

    2. even at normal settings it runs fine for me..runs fine without setting up at all...an emulation pc requires a bare bones os..meaning no fancy themes, no running background apps...all a pc needs for emulation is os itself no taskbar needed either just shortcuts on desktop and required files to run whatever emulator you want..xp only 4 processes, windows 7 only 9 processes..like pcsx2 and its gsdx gpu plugin, dolphin relies more on cpu then gpu...so its best to have barely anything at all running in background except for whats required to boot os and the emulator..the more thats running the more it has to read from hdd and the more it needs to read ram and cpu cycles..and also the games like pcsx2, ppl dont realize that they read faster on an external drive then internal..some may not see it but others have..try yourself and will see what i mean. even move one game to sd card which faster then hdd..just takes experience and a little time and error to get things right..you dont need an asus g60vx notebook or anything over $1000...paid $10 for laptop use now and its never let me down..heck you can play some games on a p4 as well (provided have little bit of tweaking to do)

  8. This is for all you crazy dolphin follower .

why spend $2000 for a PC to run Dolphin when you can get a $100 Wii to play what ever games you want at 100% full speed ?

    1. think of it this way...devs worked they asses off to get this far and plays wii and gc near perfect (except for few games but im patient)..only a few stores sell GC games and by few stores i mean very few and they dont make them anymore. they will be obsolete by at least next year..those who still have original discs they can play them in dolphin just like pcsx2...and in time the wii wont exist anymore either cause as all notice a new console is out every several years and ppl stray away from one console to the newest..you dont need to spend even $1000 or even $400 on a pc for this emulator to run at full speed you just need to know how to set it up..emulators like anon below said also let you play games in high def and sound quality is far better as well. hate when ppl turn down great emulators cause those who enjoy using it playing games at full speed, they are probably laughing right now cause people dont take the time to do trial and error to set things up they just rush, download and start it up then they put devs down saying they do crappy work when honestly if they do crappy work then why dont the people who complain making an emulator and see how far they get

  9. because in dolphin u can play the games in HD dumbass, and u dont spend $2000 in a pc just to run dolphin, u use that pc to play any games and emulators at full speed, unless the shit is coded in java that is

    ReplyDelete
  10. $2000 PC doesn't play any games at full speed . Who ever use a $2000 PC to run emulator is a big ass dumb.
wii can run most of the emu just fine.

  11. lol java is super slow lol c+ is fast as fuk or maybe u should strt coding in visual c+ studio 2012 it gives u latest c++ 2012 restribution packages and.net framework 4.5

  12. Even coding in Delphi or Turbo pascal would be a step up from Java. Man jcpsp has gotten so bad we have to hate on it in the comments for good emulators now.

  14. I agree with this dude.I have an e8400 as well (with an nvidia GT 440) and I can run a lot of commercial games full speed. Just need to know how to configure the emulator and pick the right build.

Keep in mind that Emucr provides builds as they come, not builds that are tested to be stable and fast. If you keep upgrading to the most recent build without checkng if it actually has improvements, you'll encounter slowdowns and bugs regardless of the emu.

JPCSP is an exception. No matter which build you use it's going to be a slow piece of shit, because it's coded in a slow piece of shit programming language by piece of shit programmers.

  16. people dont understand that emulators dont rely on gpu power like normal pc games do. you can have a crappy onboard gpu and still have a gamerun in emulator fine, but when comes to pc games. say wanna play TF2 or crysis...you have a high end cpu but crappy gpu what you get? a burnt out cpu and mobo cause you didnt have the correct hardware to run it or at most errors and BSOD..i agree you cant compare emulation to pc games cause where one achieves what you want the other will fail..i love this emulator tho. only few crashes but that was cause of gpu plugin in past builds but now no errors at all and unlike other emulators, dolphin gives you the option to rip textures and change them to your liking with paint or photoshop <3

  17. same...it may be old but inspiron 1525se and this emulator is at full speed. dont need to waste money on a new pc if know what the hell your doing..but this emulator each build gets better and better dont get why people hate on a near perfect emulator.

  18. Then make a emu without jpcsp java and you will see more better results, because Java Sucks!

  19. and only noobs can think of the impossibility of playing a game without a $3000 PC, im not saying that i can run the games in a coconut, but with the right choose of components and $650 you can have a good computer for the upcoming 4 years and save the rest of the money $2350 to buy all of your mother pussies just for myself and even more.

  20. At the end of the day it still doesnt justify the need to have quad core cpu 8gig plus a terabyte gpu and 6 gig ram machines to run at best a piss poor 128bit nintendo machine. i have seen people with 1 gig cpu (NOT GPU) not even dual core play ps2 emus with pretty much the same graphical compatabilities as the gc had back in the day so from this logic eather the gc was the worst machine ever to port to emu or the current makers (of dolphin) have done something wrong or there in collaberation with pc parts manufactioners to once again fleece the average joe for more cash.
and before everyone crys i dont care about spelling grammer or anything like that it just had to be said

(Will wait for a normal gc emu to be realesed) 2000 dollor emus just dont warrent that price tag unless your a freaking millionaire buying a pc every week DOLPHIN get it sorted we dont all have millions)

  21. I must necro this. I recently built an e8400 system with a gtx650 and 6GB DDR2 and I am having a lot of frame drops in even gcn games without any fancy settings.

Before this build I had an e7500 with the same gpu and less memory, with that build I ran wii kart and smash at 60+ with aa and 1.5-2x internal res.

Did something change about dolphin? Is something in this new build dying already? :O

I have tried each hack individually and collectively for performance, gaining fps here and there but still getting a slowdown every minute or two. I have also tried ogl, d3d11, and d3d9. I get the best fps and least slowdowns using d3d9 despit dolphin's guide claiming ogl is best for nvidia.
