SDLMAME v0.146u1 for Ubuntu is released. SDLMAME is a port of the popular MAME™ emulator to the SDL library. It runs on many different platforms, including both 32- and 64-bit Linux.

Thursday, 21st June 2012 Yes, I know. I still haven't release any 0.146 package yet, so this my be a bit surprising. :) You can look for a reason in this bug. It's probably related to OpenGL, just use Unity 2D and you'll see no flickering, but more investigation is needed and this will take time. Full screen mode has always been the default in Ubuntu Mame package, but things have changed in the new "merged" package as Debian recommends running games in windowed mode. Putting things together, I have to find out some workaround for the time being, Mame 0.146 will be packaged shortly after.
