kaijuu v01 is released. kaijuu1 is a Windows shell extension that allows folders to be associated with programs, in the same way that file associations can already be created.
If you have ever double-clicked a CD-ROM icon to have the installer launch, or opened a program on Mac OS X, you have no doubt used this exact concept before. kaijuu makes it easy to extend the concept to any folder type.
The purpose of this is to treat folders as containers of files. Rather than having to dig through a folder to find the program to start it, or have to navigate within a folder to open a project consisting of multiple files, now you can treat the entire folder as the project, and open it directly in the program of your choice.
