PCSX2 SVN r5131 is compiled. PCSX2 is an open source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator for the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. With the most recent versions, many PS2 games are playable (although speed limitations have made play-to-completion tests for many games impractical), and several games are claimed to have full functionality.
PCSX2 SVN Changelog:
r5130
Gsdx:
Change a texture cache hack to fix half the flickering FMV games.
It could have issues though, or randomly fix other stuff. Please test :p
r5131
debian: update control file to support multiarch in latest ubuntu

ReplyDeleteA.-You need core2quad or higher to get playable speed
Download or buy PC version of game instead, it's out with 3 extra stages.
Q.-pcsx2 does not support quad core!
A.-pcsx2 doesn't but the plugin GDSx does, even some devs forget that

"Emulation requires a brain", you always post that, its boring
ReplyDeleteImproving the Performance of gt3 and gt4, works two games good but some more fps would appreciate
ReplyDelete@20 maybe boring but its true.just look at the majority of questions being asked on this site
ReplyDeleteif you cant figure out how to use pcsx2 you just suck at life
@Anonymous #10, I always look forward to the enlightening comments intelligent people post here. PCSX2 is not perfect, nor will it ever be. Emulators are just that, programs that emulate. The PS2 uses a MIPS CPU, PCs usually have some x86-based CPU, an emulator interprets the MIPS CPU code for the x86/x64 CPU to understand, meaning, all PS2 hardware is emulated through software, which in turn will require powerful hardware.
ReplyDeleteFFX? Runs full speed on a Core 2 Duo Grandia 3, Star Ocean 3? Runs full speed on a Core i7. Metal Gear Solid 2? Runs full speed on a Core i5.
If you think every game has to be configured differently, and if you think PCSX2 doesn't support more than two cores, you're wrong. The recent versions have the MTVU hack, which enables support for quad core CPUs, such as the Core i7 on my laptop (4 physical, 8 logical) and PS2 games run just fine.
If you're under the assumption that emulators will run anything you want without doing research or without any effort on your part, I fell bad for you. Speaking as one who has been using console emulators since 1995, I can tell you that you need a measurable IQ to use one.
If you don't like the way PCSX2 or any other emulators' direction is going, then stop pissing in our mouths and calling it lemonade. These coders went to school, studied year after year in learning how to use programming languages, studying console documentation and reverse-engineering and all the while, sodding jerk off c**ts like you have to criticize them.
If you think you're entitled to your own (one-sided) opinion, so be it. I'm entitled as much as you are. These people aren't getting paid, neither do people thank them enough for putting forth ten plus years of hard work and bringing
PS2 to the PC.
Either you're severely misguided, or you're some loser who trolls all day. Seriously dude, you really need to think about what you're going to say instead of telling people who don't agree with your twisted, hotheaded ways to F themselves. Your lack of vocabulary all the more proves your imbecilic state of mind.
Either stop such asininity or someone will beat the living hell out of you. Good day.

@ Anon 10
ReplyDeleteNo worries, I read your response in the last one as well.
I got 2500K @ 4Ghz and a 9800GT. All I need to do is set native/3x native resolution(native will work on any) and enable typical speedhacks (non-slider ones) on some more demanding games and 95% of games don't drop bellow 50/60 (PAL/NTSC respectively) at all. Yes some games do need some "special" setting but in my experience 80% of them can use the same decently.
Of course if you wish to pull the maximum, you have to further customize it yourself.
What I MEANT is that to run them ANYHOW you don't need to bother, pretty much default settings will run any game, decently, if you got powerful enough PC. If not, it's not that hard, you just play around with speedhacks and gsdx settings, EE/IOP and VUs sometime. But mostly only speedhacks and resolution in gsdx. Which isn't that hard.
@ Anon11
You don't need a different setting for each game. You need for some rare games or if you don't have a powerful enough PC you'll benefit from some settings more than from other (sometimes sacrificing something for the playability).
@ 12
Not all, and those that do... most of those problems are negligible.
@ 13
There's a pc title.
@ A*
It's mostly few regular trolls "having fun".
@ Anon 23
That's one long post.
@ 23
ReplyDeleteI read your highly amusing post, though unfortunately you're wasting your breath. Eventually people that tend to reason with trolls give up and that's the smart thing to do really.
The only reason I respond to those idiotic post because for some stupid reason I find them amusing. I hate trolls, but some of those posts can be funny, to me that is.
Anyway, I merely wanted to say something more than "That's one long post." on the given topic and your time and effort invested in writing that. I wasn't in vain.
Cheers.
@ 23 it can all be sumed by saying that stupid people flock to emucr, you can see it in the ridiculous posts, most of them giving bug reports when clearly it can be gathered by just by looking @ the site that this is NOT the homepage of any emulators, yet they insist on reporting bugs, then get mad when they dont get a answer.
ReplyDelete# GoranH you are correct, some of these posts are quite humorous, especially in bsnes threads, where there are 50+ posts and 25 at least are by mudlord,LOL :)
You're absolutely right, a majority of the people who post here are either oblivious and/or downright noobs when it comes to using emulators. They really should go to the respective websites. I just don't like seeing a work that people invested a lot of time in to be ragged on by trolls and their baseless opinions (like Byuu for example...I don't agree with his stance per se, but he deserves respect for keeping the Snes emulation scene active).
ReplyDeleteI know that feeding the trolls isn't productive either, so I will further refrain from doing so, but I will say this, if people don't like the emulator in question, either use another emulator or don't use it at all. It's their choice.
@A* said,
ReplyDeleteWait a second! Those posts were from Mudlord?! Well, that certainly explains a lot.
