Jpcsp SVN r2438 is released. JPCSP is the most advanced PlayStation Portable(PSP) emulator, allowing you to play your PSP games on a PC. Even though Jpcsp is written in Java, it can already reach 100% PSP speed on a lot of commercial games... and the emulator performance is constantly increasing. Jpcsp takes full advantage of dual-core processors, matching the PSP dual-core architecture. Even a quad-core can give a small performance improvement by leaving free CPU cores for the Java JIT Compiler and the graphics cache.
Jpcsp SVN changelog:
r2438
Improved sceAtracLowLevelDecode with new findings.
Reversed and implemented Z axis upper limit checking for vertex data in VertexInfo (hinted by kytoxid).
Added loop sample data size checking to sceAtrac3plus.

Lol a total joke.
ReplyDeleteIts not enough that it has to emulate the hardware, but it fucking emulates the java architecture too lol.
Jesus.
ReplyDeleteYou got C++ = HorsePower
And Java = Compatibility
And clearly emulation requires Speed.
And So they choose java ????
Big deal.
So what if apple and linux users wouldn't be able to run the emulator.
lol thing is #1...what do you think vm programs are based on? what do you think dosbox is based on? runs just fine for me..ever heard of something called launcher which goes with the emulator only it a seperate download..it gives you an extended config to setup to user needs..dont put devs down it only makes you look more like a troll...java aint a joke and yes i can see a c++ emulator and know its faster, but im happy with progress the devs are making on this using java and i dont think ill be swapping anytime soon...
ReplyDeleteas always thanks for update devs!!!
i meant "standing up" i forgot the T

Java IS a joke and so far so is JPCSP still is as well. It can't even properly emulate Valkyrie Profile, a game that a 9 year old version of Epsxe will run at full speed on a P4.
ReplyDeleteWish they would just look at all the other emulators that have progressed amazingly and switch.
tekken 6 still runs like sh*t. too bad because it looks so beautiful on high resolutions...
ReplyDeletethe highest I can get is about 40 fps (with certain chars at training stage)
maybe someday we will be able to play lunar in this, i mean.. it is playable but the text is too big...
ReplyDelete@11 lunar si so damn slow the battle animations take 4 ever to do anything , i wish that game have and option to turn off battle animations damn slow game ;'/
ReplyDeletein a few years even, everybody will have a decent PC that will be able to run this emulator at full speed.
ReplyDeleteyou think
