Jpcsp SVN r2362 is released. JPCSP is the most advanced PlayStation Portable(PSP) emulator, allowing you to play your PSP games on a PC. Even though Jpcsp is written in Java, it can already reach 100% PSP speed on a lot of commercial games... and the emulator performance is constantly increasing. Jpcsp takes full advantage of dual-core processors, matching the PSP dual-core architecture. Even a quad-core can give a small performance improvement by leaving free CPU cores for the Java JIT Compiler and the graphics cache.

Micro64 1.00.2011.10.22 Build 613 is released. Micro64 is a freeware commodore c64 emulator. Currently micro64 has two different VIC II emulation modes: cycle exact (default, works fine) and half-cycle exact (next-gen, rudimentary implementation – currently damn slow).

Wine v1.3.31 is released. Wine is a project to allow a PC running a Unix-like operating system and the X Window System to run x86 programs for Microsoft Windows. Alternately, those wishing to port a Windows application to a Unix-like system can compile it against the Wine libraries.

Virtual Jaguar SVN r398 is released. Virtual Jaguar is an open source emulator based on Jagem (Virtual Jaguar) for Linux, MacOS X, and Windows. The source also compiles on BeOS. Virtual Jaguar is an awesome Atari Jaguar emulator with great compatibility.

Dolphin Git 3.0-183

Dolphin Git 3.0-183 is released. This is the trunk of Dolphin Project. Dolphin is the first Gamecube emulator able to run commercial games! Dolphin is a great Gamecube(NGC) and Wii emulator. It has a partial Wii support and plays most Gamecube games. Dolphin has been changed SVN to Git recently.

NESbox Beta (2011/10/22)

NESbox Beta is released. NESbox is a Nintendo Entertainment System emulator, built on Adobe Flash technology and it can only be run directly in your browser's window (beta version).

MESS SVN r13084

MESS SVN r13084 is released. MESS(Multi Emulator Super System) is an open source emulator which emulates a large variety of different systems. MESS is a source-available project which documents the hardware for a wide variety of (mostly vintage) computers, video game consoles, and calculators through software emulation, as MAME does for arcade games. As a nice side effect to this documentation, MESS allows software and games for these hardware platforms to be run on modern PCs.

NEWS: PCSX2 News and updates (2011/10/22)

It's been some time since the last news post so this will help bring everyone up to date with what we've been up to.

CPCBox Beta v20111016

CPCBox Beta v20111016 is released. CPCBox is a CPC emulator which runs in the browser as a HTML5/JavaScript application.

Fceux SVN r2314

Fceux SVN r2314 is released. FCEUX is a cross platform, NTSC and PAL Famicom/NES emulator that is an evolution of the original FCE Ultra emulator. Over time FCE Ultra had separated into many separate branches. The concept behind FCEUX is to merge elements from FCE Ultra, FCEU rerecording, FCEUXD, FCEUXDSP, and FCEU-mm into a single branch of FCEU. As the X implies, it is an all-encompassing FCEU emulator that gives the best of all worlds for the general player, the ROM-hacking community, and the Tool-Assisted Speedrun Community.

fbBuild v0.33

fbBuild v0.33 is released. fbBuild is a NAND image builder made to suit freeBoot style images, the included patches and freboot.bin core are based on the original works done by ikari. It is suitable to build rebooter images for all current JTAG exploit compatible xbox 360's.

SSF Test Version (11/10/19)

SSF Test Version (11/10/19) is released. SSF is a Sega Saturn emulator for Windows systems using DirectX 9.0b. The current version claims near-complete implementation of the Sega Saturn hardware (not counting emulation bugs), and can emulate the Saturn based Sega Titan Video arcade hardware too. As with most emulators, CDs or disc images are not included and have to be owned separately. The BIOS is also not included; as of 0.07 Beta R3, games run without the BIOS however. The usage of BIOS files is optional but recommended for better compatibility, and needed for tasks such as management of the contents of the internal memory of the Sega Saturn, or setting the system clock.
