Japanese Command dat 2011.04.21 is released. The command.dat is a file that allows you to view, among other things, the individual command lists for your favorite fighting game characters. With the command.dat, you can have an in game instruction manual to essentially every game that MAME supports.

PceEmu v1.3.22 is released. PceEmu is a PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16 (TG16) emulator, designed for the Droid/Milestone, but should work on devices with similar or better specs. Copy your games anywhere to your SD card and browse to them from within the app. It defaults to the root directory of your card upon first run.
AEON v0.63
AEON v0.63 is released. Aeon is an application that allows you to run old 16-bit DOS applications in modern versions of Windows. It emulates much of the hardware of a PC with a 386 processor, including a VGA card, SoundBlaster card, General MIDI music device, and keyboard/mouse input. It also provides an implementation of most of the commonly-used DOS functions, mouse driver, and an expanded memory manager.

Fceux SVN r2189 is released. FCEUX is a cross platform, NTSC and PAL Famicom/NES emulator that is an evolution of the original FCE Ultra emulator. Over time FCE Ultra had separated into many separate branches.The concept behind FCEUX is to merge elements from FCE Ultra, FCEU rerecording, FCEUXD, FCEUXDSP, and FCEU-mm into a single branch of FCEU. As the X implies, it is an all-encompassing FCEU emulator that gives the best of all worlds for the general player, the ROM-hacking community, and the Tool-Assisted Speedrun Community.

RomManager MAME Dats v0.142u1 is released. RomManager is a mIRC script that allows you to display the status of your Emulation-related collections in an IRC channel. The interesting part is that you can also ask for people's stats, to compare your totals, and know which of your database needs to be updated/filled (and who can help you in this task ;) )

renameSET.dat v0.142u1 is released. This project came about as a result of the continuous changes that mamedevs provide the names of the sets out whenever a new version of the executable. The reasons for these changes are manifold: correction of previous errors, addition of new games with similar names, etc.. By the time the project has expanded by collecting not only changes the name of the sets but also a kind of statistical data-base.

DeSmuME SVN r3993 is released. DeSmuME is an open source Nintendo DS(NDS) emulator for Linux, Mac OS and Windows. DeSmuME supports save states, the ability to increase the size of the screen and it supports filters to improve image quality. DeSmuME also supports microphone use on Windows and Linux ports, as well as direct video and audio recording. The emulator also features a built-in movie recorder.
Supermodel WIP (2011/04/19)
It's about time for a progress report. Nik Henson submitted a fantastic rewrite of Supermodel's input system for the next version. The new system is extremely robust -- just about anything (keyboard, mouse, gamepad, etc.) can be assigned to any Model 3 control. Yes, this means racing games are finally playable with steering wheels! Multiple mice are also supported, meaning Lost World can be played with dual lightguns.

The previous post has undergone many updates and revisions now, so I feel it’s time to make a fresh one.
Since that post, Olivier has mostly fixed up the System 24 regressions, although Gain Ground is stuck in a freeplay mode / no dipswitch reading mode due to some weird code (see driver notes) but the majority of the other tasks remain on the table.

Jpcsp SVN r2096 is released. JPCSP is a PlayStation Portable(PSP) emulator which is written in JAVA. JPCSP is the first PSP emulator that is written in JAVA. Most people think java is too slow. But Shadow and his team has proven us wrong. The newest Java versions are almost as fast as C which makes it very interesting for emu dev's. Shadow and his team are working day and night with pleasure on the emu, many coders have dedicated to the project. Because it's written in java many young devs find it interesting to learn how the emulator works.

MESS SVN r11260 is released. MESS(Multi Emulator Super System) is an open source emulator which emulates a large variety of different systems. MESS is a source-available project which documents the hardware for a wide variety of (mostly vintage) computers, video game consoles, and calculators through software emulation, as MAME does for arcade games. As a nice side effect to this documentation, MESS allows software and games for these hardware platforms to be run on modern PCs.
