rpcs3 SVN r35 is released. rpcs3 is an open source PlayStation 3 (PS3) emulator for the Microsoft Windows. Current versions can run only small homebrew for PS3. Developers are planning to make it to emulate PS3 on its speed in the near future.
rpcs3 purpose:
- Make PS3 developers easily test their apps and homebrews on PC without crashing their PS3 or moving their apps from PC to PS3.
- Just playing PS3 games on your PC and have fun! ( In the future )

- Implemented DbgConsole (for sys_tty_write)
- Emulated PPUThreadGetStackInformation syscall
- Fixed return id for FsOpen syscall
- Emulated some pad syscalls
constant key table:
A = LEFT
S = DOWN
D = RIGHT

Enter = START
X = R3
Z = L3
Space = SELECT

homebrews:
- Added dump_stack.elf
- Added pad_test.elf (press 'X' for exit)

ReplyDeleteFirst off, it wont take as long as it did to emulate PS3 like it did PS2. That's for sure.
When DH switch from interpreter to recompiler, you;ll know that it's ready to emulate some games. But it still makes me excited. Good luck.

ReplyDeleteIt will be emulated much sooner than the PS2. We'll just need more powerful hardware than we have today. But, when looking at the time frame of the PS2 emu development, this project will come to fruition much sooner than that.

pscx2 is at svn r5000 'almost good' and rpcs3 at svn r35. sit and think now

man Ur version is suck , because cant open any game PlayStation3 .

ReplyDeleteit may be hard. but do your best sir! i guess this emulator isn't require more cpu. of course not in first but in later. think ps2 emulator is require 8ghz. ps1 emulator is require 3ghz. that's mean the game marchine is getting closer to the computer the requirement of cpu is getting lower. of course is's based on current game marchine
ReplyDeleteIt will be faster then the PCSX2..it will run. Becouse of the multicore of ps3 on low frequency..as much cores as ps3 have we have them now on 5ghz. Intel I7

because JB for PS3 is can running a game so next is emulator on computer, but for 3DS for now... nothing emulator first. if you found that is just fake.
who knows there will be cores for pc in future then ps3 will be easier to emulate
