PCSX2 SVN r4923 is released. PCSX2 is an open source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator for the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. With the most recent versions, many PS2 games are playable (although speed limitations have made play-to-completion tests for many games impractical), and several games are claimed to have full functionality.

When byuu faces tough coding challenges on BSNES, he relaxes playing a bit of PCSX2 while drinking a cup of organic decaf coffee accompanied by fiber rich cookies with raisins.
ReplyDeleteAt the PCSX2 help forums he goes by the alias SN3SRUL3Z and asks noob questions every now and then.
These comments should be deleted by the administrator, this site has already been much better attended when he was unknown to trolls/kids/fanboys
ReplyDeletePfff. Maybe you should donate some money to help and stop complaining about how the site is attended.
ReplyDeleteDo you realize that comments like yours are no better than trolling?
Please, FIX "Area 51", "Ghost Hunter"," Dead or Alive 2"...really need these games

When cleaning defects..
pls fix mortal kombat shaolin monks...pls pls pls
ReplyDeleteI have never found a more accurate emulator than BSNES for SNES. Its not all that user friendly and practical but it is improving on those grounds. I see it more as a developers emulator than one for those that just causally play games. I personally use 3 different SNES emulators for different reasons. BSNES is one of them though.

pls fix your brains first and stop posting here

please fix superman returns!!
ReplyDeleteByu has nothing to do with pscx2 and all other dumb kids asking for fixing things... Do it yourself.. or wait and have programmers know of the problem and they will look at it. Offcourse only if you know how to and if its possible to fix.
ReplyDeleteDude! What do you come from than with Byuu, the guy has it but does not it! He comes up with a SNES emulator on and makes a "I'm the best!"
ReplyDeleteThis is a PS2 emulator. And between PS2 and SNES are worlds!
Byuu itself should first make a PS2 emulator.
This is the most immature comments section ever.I wonder how the people who make these immature comments are able to use a emulator, since you know emulation requires a BRAIN
ReplyDeleteas far as byuu goes,I know for a fact he does not go on the pcsx2 forums under any name, let alone a fake one.
you people need to grow up

byuu masturbates over accuracy
ReplyDeleteTrue fact!

Olympic summer Games (SGB) bsnes patch
ReplyDeleteProvided is the patch to be applied to an Olympic Summer Games (U) (S).gb ROM. Olympic Summer Games will become playable using any version of bsnes that supports Super Game Boy Emulation.
BYUU SAY THAT ;_;
doesn't care and he even stated so when I first addressed the issue stating loosely in words he would likely use from memory "adding compatibility for one game would ultimately sacrifice accuracy", which doesn't make sense since the game works on real hardware in it's original state.
byuu goes on a rant
ReplyDeletebyuu DOT org SLASH articles SLASH bsnes-future
I always see all this reference to Byuu alot, but I still don't understand why this keeps coming up. The PS2 architecture is light-years more complex than the SNES is; thus the insane difficulty in coding PCSX2. Byuu has done something great in getting as close to emulating the SNES hardware as possible. Perhaps the same will be done with PCSX2 (or alternative emu) one day...for now, even if it was possible....we're talking about running it on hardware that won't exist for another 5-10 years.
ReplyDeletePCSX2 has accomplished that of which no other crew has done so till now.
A little patience and support will be way more productive than constantly complaining and referencing to byuu all the time.
what a total shithole this place has become. wtf does byuu or bsnes have to do with pcsx2. GTFO TROLLS.
ReplyDelete@23 Byuu stated tht he hates the pscx2 developer team because they add a lot of hacks and speed hacks instead of going the "accurate" way , so in 3-4 years the pcs will be abble to handle the ps2 whitout the need of hacks or speed hacks, the code will be beyond fixing ala zsnes. you can play pscx2 in today computers because the code of the emulator is full of speed hacks the code is a fucking mess right now, and in a near future will be beyond anyone
ReplyDeletei will voodoo all ppl related to byuu or any haters of this emu. hopefully someday this emu will run much much better at low speck cpu.
ReplyDeletewhat's byuu's contribution for this pcsx2 project?
ReplyDeleteWhy One Piece : Grand Adventure still laggy?

ReplyDeleteWhy One Piece : Grand Adventure still laggy?
ReplyDelete@ ASK GORAN H. the king of HD in the horrendous block polygons of the ps2! ,but he says the emu is better over a real ps2,because you can enjoy the crappy graphics of the ps2 in HD,will all these problem's in every damn game, setting up different configurations for each different game,go figure why he says that!
@26 "accuracy"
ReplyDeleteWow, it's been a while since i DL this emu....
ReplyDeleteso, this byuu just hates PCSX2 developer because he think they didn't make good emu without giving any contribution to this project? Weird. O_O
@ Anon 29
ReplyDelete*big fucking grin*
I think it's justified, cause I didn't have to buy a new ps2, didn't have to buy disks for it and afterwards burn 'em... it's a clog... didn't have to buy a new TV for ps2 to play (cause you kinda "have" to have a spare TV) and just managed to play it on my current pc without spending 0$ dollars/euros. :D
Well, you don't really HAVE to set up different config's in every different game... But like in PC games, it's desirable cause you kinda want to improve your experience, and that's why it's a freaking pc not a console. It's not that hard. And concerning problems, I really rarely seen 'em... I've had maybe few problems with 20 or so games I completed (can count them on fingers of one hand) and the only real reason I set up every game differently because default configs make graphics look like crap and game run like ... well a lot slower in most cases.
Like no one here every fiddled in his BIOS. It's ridiculous or in game settings/ ini files / GPU's control panel. :p That's a courtesy of being a PC Gamer. :)
FYI Instead of trashing me without any decent argument next time you might think about giving the person in place some helpful advice.
@ Anon 31
Yeah. Kinda. It's really idiotic. He and his buddies trash this emu based on something completely different (ps2 and SNES really aren't the same thing guys, not to mention that I'd have to wait for another 10 years to play something that I played 5 years ago) without ever even trying to do something similar.
@ Anon 27
There are few potential causes you should look into.
1st. Speedhacks... They are knows to make game sluggish.
2nd. Try putting "none - chop/zero" settings in EE/IOP and VUs section of emulation settings.
3rd. Try running it in native (in GSDX plugin).
4th. Your pc. If your PC is not powerful enough. Self-explanatory.
Hope it helps.
@Goran H
ReplyDeleteAh, thanks for confirmation. It's not like it's the first time i saw someone like him, tough. Have seen many PCSX2 haters from a long time ago. XD
@ dreinz
ReplyDeleteWell the real thing is that he's the dev behind BSNES and that's the most accurate SNES emulator atm (most accurately emulated SNES architecture). And based on that he trashes pcsx2 because they decided to take different route "full of hacks/speedhacks" and that pcsx2 code will in a year or two go beyond fixing like ZNES (another SNES emu) because of that. Not to mention that all of my ps2 games work almost perfectly (rare texture artifacts and maybe audio out of sync in few FMV's in two games... that's all) on my current PC that is kinda low-mid end in actuality. Also worthy to mention that my sometimes some games on his BSNES are more demanding than most pcsx2 games (with appropriate config ofc). So he's talking purely from coders point while not looking at (or ignoring)) principles of practicality and demand. And as I said, he never even tried to make a ps2 emu of his own that I know off. So... this display of his hatred is really pathetic.
Trying to speak/give comparison objectively purely from consumers/users point. I have respect for both emu's and their developers. It's just that trolls (byuu and his... friends act in that fashion) irk me.
Regards.
EDIT: ...and ASSUMES that pcsx2 code will...
ReplyDeleteGoran H so you dont want, to spend a few dollars in a used ps 2, but you spend hundred of dollars in a gaming pc?, WOW JUST WOW!
