OpenEmulator v1.0 is released. OpenEmulator is an accurate, portable emulator of legacy computer systems. OpenEmulator aims to be an accurate, portable emulator of legacy computer systems. By using a software components framework, it is easy to expand a software emulation with additional software devices, just as a real system could be expanded with real devices.
OpenEmulator v1.0 Changelog:
- The emulation of the Apple one is functional.
- Many virtual monitors can be connected to the Apple 1 Apple III Monitor (with great persistence phosphor), Apple II Monitor, a monochrome monitor, and a composite monitor.
- OpenEmulator emulator is probably the first option offers a fully functional Apple Cassette Interface Card (ACI). The ICA can be plugged into the Apple I and allow the sending or receiving data to the host audio system.
- OpenEmulator is the first emulator that includes emulation of the expansion card CFFA1. This card uses CompactFlash memory cards interface with the Apple 1. It can be used to move files faster than with the cassette interface.
- Audio Recorder is able to stoker audio output to a WAV file and can read file formats: WAV, AIFF, CAF, AU, OGG, FLAC.
- OpenEmulator dynamically connects devices on the module emulation. Simply open "Hardware Library" and drag a virtual device on the port.
- OpenEmulator has advanced setting of video system, using the GPU shaders.
- OpenEmulator allows easy change of the emulation internally. Simply edit the XML file and connect / configure the software components.
