VICEminus 2.3.9

VICEminus 2.3.9 is released. VICEminus is a cut down fork of VICE, with a few additional features and fixes. VICEminus is a Commodore 8-bit emulator suite. It is a fork of VICE. The (most notable) differences are: x128, xcbm2, xpet, xplus4 and petcat are removed. OS/arch specific UIs are removed, OS code is split from UI code and only cross platform UIs are left. This allows building multiple UIs without reconfiguring; the executables have an "_$UI" suffix. At the moment only SDL UI is available, and some of the previously supported (by SDL UI) OS/archs (f.ex Amiga and OSX) are not supported yet. Translations have been removed. If you can read this, it shouldn't be a problem; at least not as big as having unmaintained translations (see this for an example). vsid has been split from x64 to its own executable (and code). In the process, the vsid VIC-II emulation was simplified by a lot and some improvements from wsid were merged. Keymap handling has been simplified; the symbolic/positional (and sometimes even "German symbolic") distinction is removed, and there is only a single keymap per machine. SFX Sound Expander support has been removed due to possible license issues. Added Alien Flash emulation. Added shift lock emulation.

VICEminus 2.3.9 Changelog:
General:
- Removal of executable x128, xcbm2, XSmall, and xplus4 petcat.
- Removal of parts specific to an operating system in the user interface. The code of the operating system is separated from the code of the user interface and only the parties cross-platform user interface remain. This allows the compilation of multiple interfaces without having to reconfigure. Binaries have a suffix "_ $ UI". For now only the SDL user interface is available and some operating systems already supported by the SDL are no longer (eg, Amiga and OS X).
- Removal of translations of the interface.
- Separation of vsid x64 executable to have its own executable, allowing a simplification of the VIC-II emulation and merging some improvements from WSID,
- Simplified management of keys. The distinction between symbols / positions was eliminated, and - - there is only one configuration of keys per machine.
- Removed support for the OpenCBM.
- Added emulation of locking the Shift key.
C64:
- Remove SFX Sound Expander support because of potential licensing issues.
- Added emulation of the Alien Flash.
- Improved emulation of the Commodore 64 non-PAL.
VIC-20:
- Remove MIDI emulation because of a lack of software that use it.
MS-Windows:
- Remove the temporary support of FFmpeg.
SDL user interface:
- Removed unnecessary function tipping X / Y.
- Added option to use the OpenGL filter "closest" instead of the filter "linear".
- Added native support for the monitor.
