ReplyDeleteceleron
ReplyDeleteHaha.
ReplyDelete#4haha to you
ReplyDeleteUse a time-machine, it sends you straight into 2011. Celeron?! Hahahahaha! :-))))
ReplyDelete#6 go away lamer
ReplyDeleteon old versions I can play all my fav. games full speed and on new mame all are slow as hell.
this means mame devs making games runs slow as "development" right ?
not everyone has new pcs , not everyone lives in rich countries , and can find jobs after university , right ?
damn stupid westerners
Then use old versions and don't troll in every new Mame release. Newer Mame versions are much more accurate, and needs more CPU power. And of course the developers do it in their spare time, for FREE. So, get over it!
ReplyDeleteso , for example sfa3 or dodonpachi is more accurate is new builds ? they run good on old builds but hell slow on newers...
ReplyDeletecan anyone feel "more accuracy" on any games for example which ?
mame devs make slow and remove good features like hiscores and then say "we made new version"
Mame is an Arcade preservation project. 100% accuracy/authenticity is their main goal. Newer drivers are clearly superior to 2005 (0.99) versions, the developers don't care if you can see it or not.
ReplyDeleteIt also uses a newer video rendering system since a few years, which gives you a better image on different flatscreen displays. Though some features were removed, true.
And to be honest: You can't play great Arcade games like Cruis'n World with a Celeron in full frame rate.
byuu, the developer of the great bsnes emulator, goes the same route, because the CPU power from today allows him to do it this way.
So, stop moaning about it and face the truth: You are stick with older emulator versions, or get a new PC.
you didnt answer my question...
ReplyDeletecan you see any difference in those games ? can you really see it ? for example which game ?
You're missing the point. MAME is not ultimately about playing games; that's just a happy side effect. It is about exhaustively documenting a certain class of game hardware and software. Accuracy is judged by that standard. There may or may not be any visible/audible difference.
