My Nes v2.4 is released. My Nes is a portable open source NES/FAMICOM emulator written in C#. it cannot emulate 100%, it still a primitive one and needs a lot of work. however it has been tested and support over 200 games, 100 playable perfectly.
My Nes v2.4 Changelog:
* Added mapper # 5, 43, 45 and 46.
* Fixed mapper # 19, 21, 23, 24, 33, 41, 42 and 68.
* Added MMC 5 sound channels.
* Added sound dynamic buffer. (the old buffer caused glitches in windows 7)
* Added video debugger (nametables)

So, another NES emulator...yeesh. And one not very compatible at all to boot. Why? There is already a sea of near 100% perfect NES emulators out there, most with their source publicly available. Why not tackle a system that people do not emulate? Something in which emulators are scarce for the system?

ReplyDeleteMost of those emulators are created for educational reasons. NES and GB are perfect consoles for experiment before continue to something more complex.
