EmuCR:DolphinDolphin texcache-rewrite SVN r7509 is released. Dolphin texcache-rewrite is a branch of Dolphin. Dolphin is the first Gamecube emulator able to run commercial games! Dolphin is a great Gamecube(NGC) and Wii emulator. It has a partial Wii support and plays most Gamecube games. SSSE3 and SSE4 optimized are enabled in this build.

texcache-rewrite: DX9 support.

Please test DX9 and give feedback about the performance. For me, it's faster in most cases, but slower in some situations involving paletted textures. Every time the palette changes, it has to re-decode the texture to graphics memory. The DX11 backend has a shader in place to handle palettes on the GPU, but the other backends still de-palettize on the CPU.

EFB RAM copies are...still somewhat broken. You'll see if you try it.

Still to come: fix EFB RAM copies; virtual EFB copies for OGL and DX9.

  3. Anon1: this is a test branch separate from the official release. It's better to leave behind some useful feedback rather than "Oh yeah I love teh Dolphins".

  4. You really do get the feeling with this emulator that only minor things are holding it back from being truly great...

    At the minute, i just find it to unstable, i don't think there has been a single game i've tried that hasn't crashed it at some point...

    Playing something like a Zelda game, you just get the feeling your always on the edge of it crashing on you and losing hours worth of gameplay, add to the fact that the memory card saving is very prone to corruption, i wouldnt want to put hours into a game, only to lose all progress half way through...

    Playing something like a Zelda game, you just get the feeling your always on the edge of it crashing on you and losing hours worth of gameplay, add to the fact that the memory card saving is very prone to corruption, i wouldnt want to put hours into a game, only to lose all progress half way through...
