PCSX2 SVN r4528 is released. PCSX2 is an open source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator for the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. With the most recent versions, many PS2 games are playable (although speed limitations have made play-to-completion tests for many games impractical), and several games are claimed to have full functionality.
PCSX2 SVN Changelog:
r4525
Disabling support for the Super Robot Taisen series.
These games will not work with newer PCSX2 versions anymore.
Game database: A few updates
r4526
Small unpack bug with interpreted/partial transfers in fill mode (probably REALLY uncommon).
r4527
Small optimization for partial unpacks, won't make a noticable difference, but every little helps :P
r4528
Slightly safer way of handling filling writes in the Dynarec, disabled a debug message i don't think we need any more.

ReplyDeletehey...Super Robot Taisen was the best mecha game i've ever played. dissabling this games it means "taisen"! its not improvement, but degradation on PCSX2.
It's just a joke commit. The Taisen series still works. Read the comments for other revisions to find out the backstory. The devs are trying to stick it to a troll who kept spamming and negative voting every single commit just because Super Robot Taisen looks pixelated even in hardware mode (not the dev's fault, the game uses 2D sprites, which isn't affected by the upscaled internal res)

ReplyDeletePhenom II x4 820 2.8GHZ OC to 3.22GHZ and Integrated ATI HD 3300 are both a bottleneck or could I get better performance getting a 5890? Most games run above 40fps but I am leaning towards more of graphic performance and not cpu. Also the CPU load never reaches over 75%.. Any reply would be greatly appreciative... also great emulator!
ReplyDeleteVideo card is a definite bottleneck there, the phenom II 3.22ghz will be fine most of the time, maybe need speedhacks here and there but enough
