PCSX2 SVN r4464 is released. PCSX2 is an open source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator for the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. With the most recent versions, many PS2 games are playable (although speed limitations have made play-to-completion tests for many games impractical), and several games are claimed to have full functionality.

I like the good work you do!
ReplyDeleteThank you for new update!
not fast
ReplyDeleteYes I think this emulator is pretty fast.
ReplyDeleteI've tried the game Lego Batman and FPS is at 44 to 50 fps. That approx.
It's very good speed in that game at least.
Not all games are as good speed but get depends on how well the PC you have.
Drove the DX11 plugin.
Specs:
-----------------------------------------------
Processor: Intel Core i5 760 Quad-Core 2.80Ghz 8MB Cache memory.
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 1GB
DirectX 11, OpenCL, DirectCompute, OpenGL 4.0
Memory: 4GB 1333 MHz.
Operating Systems: Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1 64bit.
----------------------------------------------
But how can you say that this emulator is slow? Have you tried the emulator? Are you a spammer?
Note: PCSX2 only takes advantage of 2 cores so far; so a quad-core processor will not help with speed.
We still plan to add quad-core support at a later date, if possible.
This emulator has come out properly! So thanks for the good work!
1) But how can you say that this emulator is slow?
ReplyDeleteBecause it is.
2)Have you tried the emulator?
Have YOU tried any games besides Lego? Try Baldur's Gate or Steambot Chronicles. Pcsx2 has stopped progressing in compatibility.
3)Are you a spammer?
"To spam" means "to hypocriticaly advertise something"; which is exactly what you are doing now.
4)Note: PCSX2 only takes advantage of 2 cores so far; so a quad-core processor will not help with speed.
And this renders your own proudly posted specs useless. Not that it means much as the emu's game compatibility is still a mess and has been for a long time. The devs promised to add multi-core support years ago. So here is another proof of their incompetence.
I'm not a spammer I am just so irritated by and see people just write that this emulator is slow without any reason
ReplyDeleteThere are reasons which I explained above. Since these flaws have been around for a long time, people are simply tired of repeating them.
ReplyDeleteRTFM how real ps2 actually works, then, maybe, you'll understand why its slow
ReplyDeleteslow, gliching.. gow and gow2 and shadow of colossuss... and many more game the gow2 plugins is not gliching BUT TOO OLD and slower than the new one is gliching but faster ...
ReplyDeleteColossi eyes are doubled.... no one can run without glich...

ReplyDeleteMy peenoos is bigger than urs
rly?! lemme see lemme see!
ReplyDelete@#8
ReplyDeleteeven atari 2600 emulation still not perfect why ps2 emulation should be?
Isnt easy build a aplication that emulates a console hardware.
if u want fullhd support and other things why you dont learn c++ and help developers to improve the emulator instead stay bitchin about it?
or better,if you have money to buy this pc,why not buy a real ps2? ;)
because he have life
ReplyDeletenice try but my avg detect trojan backddor packed.
ReplyDeleteFOR #9: WHIT THAT PC? AND BITCHING LIKE A 14 GIRL WITH PMS? I RLY DOUBT!!!
ReplyDeleteSORRY FOR #12 (EVEN TROLLS MAKES MISTAKES)
ReplyDeleteThere are tons of youtube videos showing PCSX2 running games at fullspeed, on PCs that are marginally slower than what the spammers are touting. Research, people.
ReplyDeleteEmulator built-in video capturing feature always records full speed regardless of actual in-game speed. Research, dude.
ReplyDeleteanyone got mushihimesama full speed
ReplyDelete@17, dumbass. Most of the videos use FRAPS, which actually slows down the recording and halves the FPS on underpowered systems due to the extra resources needed to run the software.
ReplyDeleteThe videos actually have descriptions and says if they are sped up, or running half the FPS, or posted RAW. I guess your observational skills and reading comprehension are crappier than PCSX2 coding.
@19 Actually this only proves my point that fullspeed video capturing is only possible via emulator plugin at slow PCs; which puts your own intelligence into question. Do you even read your own messages before posting? Not that I'm blaming you as there is no text worth reading.
