  3. With all due respect, Anonymous 3? Anonymous 1 is right. This thing is slow at emulating the Gamecube and it should not be on a gaming class PC like my Gateway P-7811FX.

They need to focus on why it is taking so much power to emulate the thing compared to emulating other systems.

  4. @4: your right. The gamecube and wii emulation is great don't get me wrong, but your points are very solid. I shouldn't be lagging in newer games on a 3.8ghz i7 930 pc with 6 gigs of ram and a ati 5850 overclocked.

  5. All of you, get a GameCube and show some appreciation for something you only can program in your dreams (or using Bed++).

Get a life and enjoy what you get instead of nagging and complaining.

  6. People are just ignorant and have no clue. Emulators take a long time to run smooth regardless of your set up. It is the programing and coding. Over time, performance will increase with future releases. Just look at the PCSX2, from over a year ago, the speed came a long way and I have not upgraded anything on my system. Same with Dolphin.

  7. @1: What you say is pointless, whining won't help it any and if you read on, you will see why.

@3: Disturbing and fucked up, get help.

@the rest: Emulators take a lot of power, I am guessing most of you do not realize how they work, they emulate many or in some cases like Bsnes, pretty much all of the CPU instructions and in that emulators case, do so for every cycle. That means it takes a ton of processing power just to emulate one clock cycle of the emulated system's CPU. This doesn't even account for special chips and sound chips.

The real Snes was a bit more then 3mhz... yes 3, it takes around a p2 300mhz to get it to stay at 60fps most of the time and even then it isn't too great with the fastest Snes emu, Zsnes for dos on such a computer. If you want to do it proper, Bsnes which is pretty close to perfection more then maybe any other emu, takes around a 3ghz system.

By the way, Dolphin isn't even that bad, it only takes like a USD$600 Pc to play WII games on it at full speed in 1080p and there are no other other emulators for GC or WII that come even close. Hell... are there even any other working WII or GC emulators at all?

@Nichole I am amazed you put up with some people like this sometimes and still remain so friendly. The very fact that you remain so patient and continue to keep doing this in the face of posts like some of these, gives me hope that there are some good people left arround.

  8. guy's u are wrong..Have anyone of u tried to program a simple chess in C or any other language??
Its too difficult even to make a game without 3d graphics..
Nichole u have done great work so far, keep up the good work, we are expecting more from u because u have showed us that u can
And guy's change the crap in ur case, are u serious u wanna play resident evil zero with Pentium 3??
Go fuck some pussy, will help..

  9. LOL
Nichole just posts the compiled versions of the code that is free for everyone who wants to contribute, on Google code. There are 75 people directly involved in programing and many others as translators or on bug reporting... the official Dolphin site already has updated revisions to download for Windows and Mac.
And about this emulator, IT'S EXCELLENT!

  10. Ignored those sick people, Nichole. Dont be afraid for some of them have no brains!

  11. lol at the dude lagging with his Core i7, ever think the emulator might be a bottleneck? I can run nearly every game at playable speed just by configuring a few things, or lowering my resolution and I have a $100 CPU and integrated HD 3300. The only game that runs poor is Sonic Colors 22fps. Like anything, it takes time to improve coding, it's not like they can snap their finger and make it run 100% on a Pentium 2. Instead of complaining how about giving a thanks! I bet in a few more years Wii Emulation will be much faster.

  12. The dude with a lagging i7 is probably trying to run one of the games that are hard to emulate or he doesn't know how to configure the emulator.

I have an e8400 (3 ghz dual core), a measly GT 240, and 4 GB of DDR2, and I can already run majority of the supported GC games at fullspeed (with the only exceptions I encountered being MGS and Twighlight Princess' hyrule field, which are both documented to be hard to emulate fullspeed).

I can also run some of the Wii games at full speed, like Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Bleach Versus Crusade, and the Naruto fighters.

    OR....

These recent batch of spammers were planted by Nintendo and/or Sony themselves, who are all trying to spread misinformation in order to convince people to stay away from the emulators. Which is all well and good, as far as I'm concerned. Less gullible people using the emulator, less noise for the developers.

It's not like the emu authors are gonna lose money when people don't use their free software LOL

  13. #13 These recent batch of spammers were planted by Nintendo and/or Sony themselves, who are all trying to spread misinformation in order to convince people to stay away from the emulators

    NO NO NO

fck sony fck nintendo I"d never pay for any console or software

    Piracy and emulators ROCK.

there are great emulators eg epsxe snes9x Finalburn Alpha , and ones which suck like dolphin and pcsx2 (imo)

    what it is all about

dont know about other guys though

  14. the fact that you brag about your support for piracy and lump them together with emulators automatically tends to support #13's claim. Your comments look like pieced-together statements that were thought up by people who don't really use emulators, and designed to make emulator users look bad.

The comment about your preferred emulators, on the other hand, support the other commenter's claim that you have a very slow PC. You seem to prefer emulators that are optimized for speed over accuracy (epsxe vs pSX, snes9x vs Bsnes, Finalburn vs MAME).

Doesn't matter which one is true. You're still an idiot.
