Glitch64 SVN r110 is released.GlideHQ is a realtime texture enhancer library with hi-resolution texture pack support for Glide64.Glitch64 is the recommended Glide3x wrapper for Glide64, the Glide video plugin for N64 emulators. It currently supports S3TC texture compression, anisotropic filtering, widescreen resolutions and simulates almost all the Glide3x hardware capabilities used by the plugin, included texture buffer capability (needed for render to texture). It is coded using the OpenGL API and uses GLSL shaders.
Traditional and non-traditional techniques have been used to achieve speed and high image quality even on a 9 year old 3Dfx Voodoo2. Although the 3Dfx Glide3x texture format naming conventions are used, the library can be expanded for generic use. The library supports 6 enhancers and 6 image filters. FXT1 and S3TC texture compression are supported.

The Latest Progress Status of Makaron.Makaron is a Dreamcast(DC) emulator for Windows. Makaron is a Dreamcast emulator that does run some commercial games, with full sound and decent speed. However Makaron is still in the testing stages, thus Makaron may be buggy, and not run the Dreamcast game you are interested in. Otherwise, you can download Makaron and give it a try.

Iq_132 of FBA fame pointed me that the right colors in Uncle Poo title screen can be found at color offsets 0×08-0×0f … after some further investigations I’ve found that there’s a 2-bit pal banking tied to the 0xb700 port. So, the tilemap has 8 independent color offset + two pal banks that allow it to select the whole 0×20 color offsets.

C64-network.org v2 is released. C64-network.org is a Commodore C64 emulator based on the Frodo source code by Christian Bauer. In addition to the features provided by Frodo, it adds network support and a port to the Nintendo Wii.

A couple of controversial items arrived here yesterday....
Thanks to Tom for the loan of a Death Smiles PCB which came all the way from wintery Switzerland.
These emulated screenshots are very preliminary with some graphics issues similar to the Espgaluda II issues shown below in the 5th January news. Don't let that bother you because at this stage you won't be playing this game in any emulator anyway.
Of course they were done by the same dev as well :-)
