PCSX2 SVN r3617 is released. PCSX2 is an open source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator for the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. With the most recent versions, many PS2 games are playable (although speed limitations have made play-to-completion tests for many games impractical), and several games are claimed to have full functionality.

ReplyDeletethanks everyone, you're rock..!! finally I can run tekken 5 in approx.70 fps with minor bugs (glitches in three stages)
ReplyDeleteanyway :) please keep the good work, thanks in a million... i'm indonesian sorry for my bad english..
you should use a nickname to know you better! ^ ^ Not need an account!
ReplyDelete@last anonymous : me I'm french and I use a lot google translation ! XD yes it is good for tekken 5, this game was malfunctioning before (graphics problems ...).
shit emlator i have amd 4 core processor and ati hd 4670 vga 1gb ddr3 and 2 gb 1066mhz ddr2 ram and every game is shit...... i tried Final fantasy x xII and shadow of colossus,,, with native pixels run smootly but who plays NATIVE pixels looks like shit..... i tried to play 1024X1024 every game run like 50fps and every hacks on....
ReplyDeleteand why not making for AMD procesors gsplugin only sse2 works PCSX2 team need MAKING for AMD processors gsplugin.... not only rich mans who buy intel.....
^
ReplyDeleteThat was just... hilarious to say the least.
??? there are problems with amd processors? Sorry for you but Intel processors are not just for the rich ! and I think it is complicated to develop an emulator on several different configurations, there are already good compatibility with the OS (Windows, Linux, Mac). In addition, SSE instructions are difficult to perform read wikipedia.
ReplyDeleteyes, my nickname is Rokk, in indonesian, sorry for my english.. I just saw this configuration on some forum discussions. Just trying to share these.... I think that there's no problem with amd processors, and it doesn't have to be clocked over 3,2G Hz or more. Yeah, maybe an SSE4 processor will do better, but my amd Phenom X2 3,0 GHz do fine too.. So I think a dual core 2,8 or 3 Ghz will do fine.. Y'know it's too expensive to buy a fast processor one, in my country..
ReplyDeleteHere's the configuration :
1). In GS window, make sure to enable "disable framelimiting", set "Base Frame Rate Adjust" to 150%, "Slow Motion Adjust" to 100%, "Turbo Adjust" to 200%. And then set both "NTSC and PAL Frame Rate to 80. Do not use frameskip, Leave it disabled (by default). (Guys, this is the key to boost PCSX2)
2). In Speedhacks window, set both "EE Cycle Rate" and "VU Cycle Stealing" to max (level 3). Enable all other Hacks, except "mVU Min/Max Hack".
In game, it will show approx. 224 fps, but it actually runs approx. 70-80 fps. Maybe you'll experience a little slowdown in a full sreen..
This setting is based on Tekken 5, but I think It will work with other PS2 games
(Oh yeah btw I use japan bios V2.0)
Anyway thanks everyone ^^ especially Nichole, two thumbs for you.
@Anon with amd
ReplyDeleteErr... First thing first...
1. Activating speedhack doesn't mean more speed.
2. 1024*1024 is killing you? Try 800*600, if it run smoothly, try higher one. Different Game had different requirement, you see? Don't think you could play GT4 remarkably with mid end graphic card.
3. AMD support sse3 and sse4, but unfortunately, they aren't very capable bringing out instruction as good as intel CPU. So that's why they prefer IntelCPU.
It's not that they are having some grudge against AMD, but it just how should it be. You don't agree, THEN BUILD THEM YOURSELF! You got the emulator for free, you know?
sett your pcsx2 for fps speed setting use baseframerate 150%
ReplyDelete@Firozt : yes I agree with you, diff game had diff requirement. I usually try 800*600 or 1000*1000 res coz mine is standard monitor :)
ReplyDeletehey the above setting PCSX2 you just like me
ReplyDeletesett your pcsx2 gsdx to native for better compability graphic
ReplyDeletegsdx affect fps speed so do not delete the old versiom gsdx
ReplyDelete@Moh Erbil : Hehe . . .nice coincidence bro :) Im' quite sure that you can run your game fast too
ReplyDeleteThis site is really great... Best Emu
sorry for my english
Hey Rock hendarto i am from indonesia he he he
ReplyDelete+1 Firozt and MOH ERBIL ELVIN NOER ! :)
ReplyDelete@JOJO : PCSX2 -> Playstation PC version :) such a genius one, PCSX2 SVN's getting better and better everyday!
ReplyDelete@Moh Erbil : nice.. :) (zamrud khatulistiwa bok...)
This site is great I would really like it better! But why nichole is the only person for all the work??? It's really strange ... :/
ReplyDeleteyeah that's away too much for one person
ReplyDeleteI think most people forget also that alot of games wont run at full speed even if they look and play fine due to emulation bugs...
ReplyDeleteI have a core i7 850 and i have overclocked it from 2.8ghz to 4.1ghz and some games i have still run too slow, only a few fps increase with a 1.3ghz oveclock.
Its just a matter of waiting for more bugfixes etc.
Tekken 5 is a good example .... about 6 months ago it wouldnt go over 50fps but now it hits 80fps same computer same emulation settings.
This emulator is just gonna get more awesome with time.
Yes naz ! best games run perfectly as Final Fantasy, the kingdom hearts, okami ... but here are still problems with the fog as in ICO, otherwise it's almost perfect! Especially with the speeds hack and SSE instructions.
ReplyDeletemy computer not overclock . . . ESpesialy setting pcsx2 with perfect
ReplyDeleteThank you for godd work:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rokk, two thumbs for you. . .
ReplyDeleteMakasih. . .
