SDLMESS v0.136 is released. SDLMESS is a free port of the popular MESS emulator that allows it to run on the SDL platform. Since SDL is available for Mac OS X, SDLMESS can be compiled for Mac OS X.

The latest version is 0.136. This fully-packaged version is deprecated due to the fast-moving nature of MESS development, but I’ll update it on integer MESS releases. The big news in this version includes more Mac improvements and the first-ever public emulation of the Super A’Can, as well as working support for the Super Cassette Vision and FM Towns and partially working support for the “Chintendo Vii” ripoff-system.

Note that the SDLMESS components are an official part of the MESS Subversion repository and the checked-in version there is kept up to date, so that’s the recommended way to get SDLMESS while saving some bandwidth.
